I needed a basic denim skirt - so I made one! I pinned one from Land's End for inspiration, so I thought it would be fitting to take pictures out in nature!
If you can't tell on your screen, I AM wearing a t-shirt under the blouse. Yes, my skin is that pale that it blends in with a white shirt. The back pocket has some iron-on bling.
I used a blue jeans pattern but cut the legs straight down instead of curved for the crotch. Does that make sense? I had to make quite a few adjustments to the back to get it right, but it worked pretty well.

Kelly, this is so beautiful! I love the way you styled the photos too, right out of the Land's end catalog or something! :) That's a top that you sewed as well isn't it? You're amazing!
It turned out so cute!! I've been looking for an all purpose denim skirt for ages, but the ones I find are always either too short, too dumpy, too expensive...you get the idea. This one is fabulous!
Love it!! :) Great idea to use a jeans pattern.
HAHA I actually didn't notice with the first picture but since you pointed it out it does look like you aren't wearing anything underneath!!
This looks great! I love jean skirts on other people but I can never find one that looks like I want it to on me. You've hit what I want on the head with this! I love what your paired it with too.
Very, very, very cute!! I love it, love your pictures.
From a jeans pattern?? Genius!! The whole outfit is really cute!
