Haven gave me a book for Christmas. When I opened the gift she said, "Don't drop the bookmark! I haven't finished reading it!"

Ethan: Look Mom, I lost my [first] tooth!
Me: Cool! Where is it?
Ethan: In my tummy!

I left the fashion channel on while cleaning. Every two seconds or so I hear Ethan say, "Well that's something you don't see every day." True that.

I have to get Ethan up in the middle of the night every night for a trip to the potty. He almost never wakes up for this ritual, so he usually says some pretty random and amusing things. Last night he was talking in his sleep in GERMAN. I don't know what he was dreaming about, but he kept saying 'darf ich' which means 'may I,' so at least he was being polite!
I'm not getting old. Your music really is that bad.

"I stink at PE. All I can think about the whole time is how cute [boy x] looks when he throws the dodgeball! Then I get hit with the ball."
Ongoing Quote from Ethan
"I don't want God to talk to me in my heart... I want Him to talk to me IN MY EAR!"

"Stau - roughly translated from the German means 'traffic jam so frustrating you want to tear your hair out.'"
Yup, that sums it up nicely.

Ethan asks, "What is glory?" I think for a minute and then say it's giving God credit for the awesome things he does. Ethan says, "Is that the same as when I go under the water and get glory in my eyes?" I try desperately not to burst into fits of laughter and explain, "That's not glory. It's chlorine."

Haven learns the importance of math. 1/4 cup (milk) times two equals 2/4 cup, not 2 1/4 cups. A stash of velveeta from the fridge saves the mac-n-cheese and all is right with the world once again.

While driving down the road we passed someone walking their dog. Ethan shouted, "LOOK! That dog is wearing the Cone of Shame!" If you don't know what that means you really really need to see "Up." FUNNY!
