Chicopee

The store is now carrying pre-cuts of the new Denyse Schmidt line Chicopee. The line has a very interesting style. When you look at all the pieces you wonder how they will work together, but when they are all made up they look really cool! I knew for this line to work it needed a sample, so I made this cute little table runner.

The pics are from my iphone, so not the highest quality...

I really like how this turned out! The pattern is called "Roundabout" from a line of patterns called "Schnibbles," which we also carry a few of. This was made using one charm pack, 1/2 yard for the backing, and about 3 1/2 yards of bias binding. It felt good to finish a quilting project! It's been quite a while since I did!

Kelly, it's so beautiful. I ADORE that line because it looks like the fabrics weren't designed to be matchy matchy but they still look amazing together, like you said. Like a real old-school patchwork. It's so pretty! That pattern would look good repeated to make a full size quilt too, i think! :)

Oh wow! I LOVE what you did with this! I have never before wanted a runner and now I DO! So pretty!

PS they totally should use your sample to sell the line because I just followed the link to look at the fabric and I would never purchase it with what they've shown... ugly... you did a great job!

I loved this line when I first saw it, now I love it more! I'm like Jess, I think I need a table runner now!

I'd work at that shop around the corner! I feel the same way about this line. It says country patchwork but cool modern country patchwork but if you look at the individual fabrics they are not ultra modern. The runner is perfect Kelly for showing people what they can do with the line.
