One of my cats eats everything except grapes. She went through a phase where she really loved honey roasted peanuts. All of my cats love V-8 juice. I have to watch out when I am drinking it because they will knock over my glass when I am not looking!
I had a gerna shepard that liked sardines. I htink it's ok unless you give it to her all the tiem. My dad drilled it in to our heads that animals either eat animal food or table food-not both! Becasue it messes up their stomach. I don't know if he's right but it doens't sound good for winkerbell:)It's not good for us either! but their sooo good!
Well, you feed them to your kids, and you don't worry that it will kill your kids. I would imagine that licking the bowls clean is pretty harmless.
On the flip side, there is a whole list of things that cats should not eat, including: chocolate, milk (I'm pretty sure that adult cats are lactose intolerant), onions and a bunch of other stuff. I found this article, and it might be helpful to you:

How much does she eat?
She licked both the kids bowls after they ate. I would have given her the leftovers, but I was thinking I would rather KEEP the cat.
